O, O, A

Okay, haven't written about the Olivier Awards a few weeks ago. It was just amazing. Got to walk the red carpet, which was really scary but so so fun. It's like walking with the stars. Managed to take a picture with Gina Beck and Louise Dearman. So happy. So much better than taking a picture outside the Victoria Theatre anytime. Also saw Idina Menzel and Tim Minchin. And the Royal Opera House was just splendid inside and finally heard Michael Ball sing. My ears are so pleased, life complete. Heard Idina Menzel and Matthew Morrison and Tim Minchin sing. Heather Hadley was amazing too. Saw Helen Mirren, Daniel Radcliffe, James Mcavoy from a distance. And really happy that Cats played a bit, love the performances of the different musicals like A Chorus Line and Top Hat. So happy for the experience. So gonna go for next year's one as well. And maybe someday Tony's. Why does Neil Patrick Harris have to host this year : < I wanna be there.

Then, Once last Monday. It was pretty surprising that it was pretty cheap for stalls considering I bought tickets the day before. And it was amazing. It was a really intimate theatre and love how the stage doubles up as a bar during intermission and before the musical started. And the story was just heartbreaking and the songs were amazing. Especially the acapella one. Really love the main dude and lady. It just hits you and so many people cried : < Really wanna watch this again soon. Wish there will be a West End recording soon. It sounds way better than the Broadway one. Maybe because watched it live. Oh wells.

And the Audience last Thursday. Hah, last week was such a theatre week. Awesome, not that I'm complaining. Had to queue up in the morning from 7 am and sadly didn't get any day seats, only standing ones but it was good enough. Helen Mirren was amazing, she has such a commanding presence it's just wow. This was the first play I watched and I'm starting to understand the allure of plays, although I do miss the sudden bursting out in songs. And got her autograph : > It was different this time as the dude at the stage door asked us to write our names at the back so she could sign it to us. Which I find really sweet and endearing. It's the first autograph signed to me. Happy happy. And she was just sweet when she came out. "Hi there my lovelies!" How adorable.

I think this week is Peter & Alice, which is gonna be fun. We are gonna camp super early. Do it right!
